The 2017 Annual exhibition opened on Monday November 13th, with signifiant sales on the first day! The overall standard was very high, and it seems to improve each year, with a wide range of styles and media. This year saw the inclusion of more 3D exhibits as well as smaller paintings in the cabinet display.

The official opening took place on Thursday evening November 16th. Local artist Sue McDonagh had viewed the entries made her choices for this year's awards. The Mayor of Cowbridge, Mrs S Vaughan, was also in attendance to present the trophies to the winning artists. Sue also gave an entertaining critique of the chosen works and her rationale for her choices.

Sandra Wintle: Best Portrait (Portrait I)  

Viv Williams: Best Flower Painting (Peonies in Sunlight)          


Liz Pepper: Best of Other Media (Old Barn, Nr. Bonvilsont)     


Andy Lloyd: Best of Other Subjects (The Vale of Glkamorgan Pub, Cowbridge)                     


Jaci Harries: Best Landscape or Seascape (Beach at Marcross)      

Deirdre Schweitzer: Best Mixed Media (Abergavenny Market)                                                

Sandra Wintle: Adjudicator's Choice (Storm II)
